James' Guild
James' story as told by his mom
James suffered with debilitating pain, feeding distress, difficulty sleeping, and swelling in his arms, legs, and joints. None of the specialists in New Mexico knew how to help relieve his symptoms. As we watched him steadily decline, we felt helpless and alone. When the palliative care team in Denver stepped in, we saw better communication with specialists and better treatments for his distressing symptoms, and we felt confident in our ability to cope and advocate for his needs. That protective support finally allowed him to experience happiness and comfort, and engage with his family and friends again. "We wished we had this service in New Mexico."
Your donation today can help bring services similar to those that supported James' family, to fellow New Mexicans facing similar struggles.
